Another Puzzle Done

Brooke picked me up this puzzle at Disney World. It is only 200 pieces so I did it in about an hour. Fun!

But when the Division picks up their trail, it sends a powerful agent to stop them at all costs.
This was a great movie, interesting and full of action.

Orphan

We went to see this yesterday. It was awesome!!! There was such a twist at the end, I totally didn't see it coming. But I definitely have to watch it again, we were late and missed the very beginning.

Old California Puzzle

I completed this 1000 piece puzzle yesterday. After all that work I don't want to rip it apart, but I will soon. Last night we went to the fireworks on Short Sands Beach, we took the scooter down and managed to find a great parking space, and were able to squeeze out at the end pretty quickly. Today is the last day of Gary's vacation, I thought it was going to be sunny and 80 degrees, instead it is cloudy, drizzly and 63 degrees. Again we are going to attempt to get to the movies this afternoon, I hope everyone else is too busy packing to go home or something. Yesterday we went out and hit the yard sales. I got a brand new Lang wooden calender holder with a 2009 Lang calender in it for $4. I got a 3-pack of St. Ives face scrub for $1. I got a brand new, still-in-the-box rooster candle holder and topper for $1. Gary got some stuff to sell on e-bay. When I go I always find stuff that I want to keep, not sell.

Smile! Say Cheese!

This is what you do when the weather is rotten on your vacation. You take pictures of your dog smiling. What a goof ball he is. Happy Birthday to my brother Chip, he is 49 today!! We went to Bingo last night at the fire station in Short Sands and I won nothing, Gary won $25. It was fun. I would like to go to the movies today and see Orphan, as I am sure everyone on vacation this week will want to do today. It has been raining so hard here all night long and still is, we could probably stick some oars out the window and row there.

Diaper Cake

Brooke made this diaper cake for Nicole's baby shower. I think it came out great. It has about 60 diapers on it, and a bunch of useful things like pacifiers, washcloths, onesies, a bottle, some baby wash, a toy. She did a great job and bought all the stuff herself.

Guilty or Innocent?

Well? what do you think? Guilty or innocent? Of what you ask? See the balls of stuffing behind him? They are coming out of 2 big holes that Mr. Louis ripped in my near-new comforter. I have already sewed up 3 or 4 little ones and yesterday I came home to this. I say...GUILTY!

The Queen's Fool

It is winter, 1553. Pursued by the Inquisition, Hannah Green, a fourteen-year-old Jewish girl, is forced to flee Spain with her father. But Hannah is no ordinary refugee. Her gift of "Sight", the ability to foresee the future, is priceless in the troubled times of the Tudor court. Hannah is adopted by the glamorous Robert Dudley, the charismatic son of King Edward's protector, who brings her to court as a "holy fool" for Queen Mary and , ultimately, Queen Elizabeth. Hired as a fool but working as a spy; promised in wedlock bu in love with her master; endangered by the laws against heresy, treason, and witchcraft, Hannah must choose between the life of a commoner and the dangerous intrigues of the royal family that are inextricably bound up in her own yearnings and desires.
This was an excellent book, I can't wait to read another by this author.

Vacation

Okay, I know I am behind on pictures of Nicole's ever-growing belly. But between me being back and forth to Maine, and Nicole and Eric busy moving into their new place, I just haven't. Next week, I promise.
Gary is on vacation this week. I don't have any pictures yet, because we have not done too much yet. He went deep sea fishing Saturday, unfortunately 2 guys could not make it, and my Dad was one of them. Gary was disappointed, he looks forward to going fishing with him every year but my mother just had a knee replacement and is still recuperating. Anyway, they caught a lot of haddock and he had a good time although he was exhausted when he got home.
The weather was great until today, today is rainy and cool. So wen decided to go see The Proposal , it has been out for a long time and we figured who would be wanting to see that today? Turns out everyone. They were sold out when we got there. Plan B, go to the mall. Fall in love with a puppy in the pet store. Beg Gary for a friend for Louie. After he is done laughing, he tells us we would have a better chance of seeing Jesus Christ walk by.
I bought a few things in Bath and Body Works, and an outfit for the baby in Sears. Then we decided to get Chinese food on the way home, stop at Hannaford's and rent The Haunting in Connecticut from the Redbox and have a movie night at the camper. Would you believe that not only was there none of that particular movie there, but not much of anything else either. I had Confessions of a Shopaholic from Netflix so we settled for that. It was good.
Tomorrow we are going to Portsmouth to meet some friends, walk around the shops and go to dinner. Hopefully the rain will stop.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

This was a pretty funny movie. Even Gary liked it. It sure makes you want to cut up your credit cards!

Knowing

I love a good apocalyptic movie, I wonder what a psychiatrist would think of my fascination with the apocalypse? Anyway, I had no high hopes for this movie, I like Nicolas Cage in a lot of movies, but sometimes he can be over dramatic. This was awesome! I was riveted from beginning to end. Gary? not so riveted, he fell asleep before the end, but he had an excuse, 2 long days of car auctions and then mowing the lawn until 8 PM. So he missed the end, which was the best part.

The Unborn

This was just plain creepy. I was not expecting much scariness for a PG-13 movie but I was pleasantly surprised. I watched this about a week ago and still at night I can't walk by the cellar door where there is a cat door. I keep expecting to look down and see that creepy little boy's face looking at me through the little window, or a creepy little hand come snatching out of it at my ankle. Yea, I watch a lot of horror movies and read a lot of horror books.

Left to Die

One by one , the victims are carefully captured, toyed with, then subjected to a slow and agonizing death. Piece by piece his exquisite plan takes shape. The police can't yet see the beauty in his work- but soon, very soon, they will....
This was really good, suspenseful, and the story is not done yet. When you finish this book you still don't know who the killer is, there is a sequel coming out in August called Chosen to Die. Can't wait to read it.

Katie and Ed's Wedding

Gotta love my camera

Parents of the bride, Gary's brother Billy and his wife Linda

Shelley and Charley
Tyler, Tom and Theresa

Carter and Mikayla

Happy 4th of July. We went to Gary's niece's wedding. Loved the church part, it was all of 20 minutes! The reception was nice, located at the Common Man Restaurant in Plymouth, NH. The food was good, the dj was good and the cake was delicious. I was being so smug about not buying a new outfit for the wedding, I could just wear what I wore to my nephew's wedding. Ha! How come something that looked absolutely fine for one thing, look like complete crap the next time you put it on? I had to scrounge and ended up wearing Brooke's dress pants and her top! I will know better next time, new outfit it is.

Slumdog Millionaire

At first I didn't think I was going to like this movie. It was flashing back and forth and it took me a little bit to figure out what was going on, but after that i couldn't take my eyes away from it.
