I don't remember where I read that this was a good classic horror story. Published in 1973 I had never heard of it before. It wasn't scary as in ghosts or monsters, the only monsters were the people of the little New England village where the story is set. I could not put it down, and then I found out they made it into a movie! But Netflix doesn't have it, and the only one I found on Ebay they want $50 for it (VHS!) So I will wait for another to come along cheaper than that. Now I want to read another by him called The Other.

Now this was a funny movie, I love Jamie Lee Curtis and am always happy to see her in a film.

And last but not least my washer died. We

bought a whole new set (even though the dryer was

fine). This is the washer, and it plays a little

tune when the cycle is done.

And on another note, my nephew's girlfriend is in labor as we speak! She is 5-6 cm and getting an epidural. So her birthday will be February 18th, the same as her father and his twin brother!!! This is a busy birthday day for our family! Those three, plus my son-in-law, and my husbands brother! wow.

I will probably go see the baby tomorrow so look forward to some cute little baby pictures!

Devil

This was an M. Night Shyamalan movie, the same guy who did The Village and The Happening. So you know there wasn't a whole lot of scariness as far as special effects go. But in another way it was pretty scary, there are five people trapped in this elevator, one of them is the Devil. I thought it was one person, then changed my mind then it turned out to be that person after all! It was pretty engrossing.
