Stay a Little Longer

This was a quick read, a simple small town romance but with a little mystery thrown in. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.

Taysia's Baby Shower

Look at that face, he was just full of the devil today!
It was a very nice baby shower, my sister did a wonderful job, and I ate too much! No surprise there. Taysia is her son's girlfriend and she is due on February 16th. It was nice to see everyone and hang out for a while.

After she ate her snack she said
"mess on my knee!"
Her first full sentence at 16 months

It cracks me up to see her with magazines,
she loves to look at them, especially my
TV Guide

Nicole has to trick her to get anything into her
hair. She keeps 2 bows in her hand and when
Kali reaches to pull the bow out, Nicole gives
her the second one and she doesn't realize there
is still one in her hair. And in this picture, there is
a plant hanging behind her, that big green thing
is not her hair bow! :)

Killers

I just love these two, and this was a funny movie.

Buried

If you don't like movies that have just one actor, and are set in only one location then this is not the movie for you. I normally do not like these types of movies at all, but this one definitely can keep your attention. You spend the movie picturing yourself in this situation and wondering what you would do...

Peyton Place

I had never ready this book, and I saw something in a magazine about it so I decided to read it. It was pretty good, good enough that I want to read the second novel that she wrote about it "Return to Peyton Place".

Case 39

This is the creepy movie I have been waiting for! I know this got bad reviews, but it thoroughly creeped me out, enough so that I was awake at 3:30 this morning trying to ignore images from the movie and go back to sleep! I really liked it.

Dinner for Schmucks

I expected this movie to be much funnier than it was. It did have some funny moments, it was just okay.

January 12, 2010 Snowstorm

unfortunately, shoveling is the only way
to get to the hot tub...
Look, we plowed up a baby!

Although it doesn't look it in the sunny pictures, we got about 16" of snow. Up around our house it blows like crazy to it looks like less. It didn't feel like less when I was out shoveling the front steps and a path on the back deck for the dog.

Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!!

Happy Birthday to my Mom and Dad today! They are down in sunny Florida enjoying their birthday and missing this humongous snowstorm we are having! Lucky them! 70 and 71 years young today!

So Happy

Seeing Dora the Explorer on TV after nap is one of
life's greatest pleasures for Kali!

Full Dark No Stars

I love anything that Stephen King writes, but this collection of short stories was AWESOME! When he write, you can totally picture what is happening, and with his stories that can be pretty scary. I was very sad when I turned the last page last night.

Healthy Eating

Of course everyone wants to lose weight and eat better after the New Year, I am no exception. This salad is pretty healthy with blueberries and tomatoes and some sunflower seeds. But then I added a small Celeste pizza on to my meal. Oh well. Try again today!!

Boots

I scored these boots in the clearance section of Kohl's for $6.

The Last Exorcism

Okay, this was pretty creepy. It was filmed kind of documentary style which isn't my favorite type of movie to watch, but they didn't do a bad job. The ending was annoying, it definitely left you hanging.

Slow Cooker Split Pea and Ham Soup

It was a lazy Sunday at home and I decided to make ham and pea soup in the crock pot, and a loaf of beer bread. The recipe I used for the soup is the most delicious I have tried to date and I will continue to use it in the future.

Charlie St. Cloud

Being overly sentimental as I am, I expected to need some Kleenex for this movie, weirdly I didn't. I teared up for a second on one part but that was it. It was an okay movie, it kept my attention, but for some reason it didn't seem to have enough emotion in it.
