This is the author that wrote Cold Mountain, it was a little strange and didn't explain things real clear, you had to read into it a lot. I wasn't too fond of the writing but I was intrigued by the story about a single woman living along out in the woods, suddenly having to care for her murdered sister's twins. The children have major emotional problems and she kind of just fumbles along trying to get them to open up to her. Then the man who murdered her sister is back in their lives and she has to try to save the children. I thought the ending kind of left you hanging, I wished it had been a little more explained.

Bad Teacher

I almost sent this movie back without watching it, Brooke saw it in the theater and she said it was really bad. But we decided to give it a try and I am glad we did, while it wasn't the funniest movie ever, it still was pretty good. Brooke watched it again with us and she even thought it was funnier the second time around.

Highlander for the Holidays

This was a good book, but then I think all of Janet Chapman's books are good. Time traveling magical Highlanders, gotta love them.

Even though we had a snowstorm coming in on Wednesday, we didn't let that stop us from getting to our Stowe vacation. We went on Tuesday instead and had an unexpected extra night!

It was a great weekend and we had a lot of fun.

I was all excited because I started snapping pictures, and could

see the smokey mist which usually means that Emily is there,

only to discover that my daughter and her friend were blowing

air out of their mouths in front of my camera every time I

snapped a picture, and laughing hysterically at me.

There is some mist at the right hand side of the picture

some more mist (it was a clear cloudless night)

some more to the left

there is an orb in there

Now this picture, my smart-alec daughter and her friend were

still blowing in front of my camera. Imagine my and their surprise

when we got back to the hotel and saw the image of the face

up near the top of the mist. This is THE best picture I have

ever captured there. I have some more on my cell phone that are

zoomed in and will post them after.
