World Without End

This is the sequel to "The Pillars of the Earth".
But you absolutely don't have to read the first
one in order to enjoy this one. This is a long book, 1014 pages and takes a good while to read
but it is worth it, I loved the first book and this
one was even better. Set in the 1300's it takes place in the town of Kingsbridge. The great cathedral and the priory from the first book are once again at the center of a web of love and hate, greed and pride, ambition and revenge. It starts with 4 children who witness a murder. One boy will travel the world but come home in the end. One boy will be a powerful, corrupt nobleman. One girl will defy the might of the medieval church. The other will pursue an impossible love. They will see prosperity and famine, The Black Plague and war. And they will always live under the shadow of the unexplained killing they witnessed on that fateful childhood day.
